A dielectric porcelain composition characterized in that it comprises both barium titanate including barium titanate having a hexagonal structure as the main component and an element (M), the element (M) has an effective ionic radius within the ±20% range based on the effective ionic radius of the Ba2+ in a 12-coordination state or the effective ionic radius of the Ti4+ in a 6-cooridnation state, and the element (M) has an ionic valence larger than that of the barium or titanium.
