PURPOSE: A payment system using screen saver and a method for electronic commerce operation using the system are provided to transmit an advertisement to a computer user by transmitting commodity and advertisement information using screen saver. CONSTITUTION: A driving deciding unit(111) determines whether a predetermined input signal is applied or not. A display unit(114) provides the received commodity information and the advertisement. A point accumulation database(115) stores points obtained through the advertisement displayed in the display unit. A user information storage unit(112) stores the detailed information to match the stored point and the user information. A payment unit(116) carries out a payment using accumulated points.
