PURPOSE: A headrest, a headrest control method, a drowsy driving and a drunk driving prevention method using the headrest are provided to protect a passenger's neck in a rear-end collision by controlling the height and the angle of the headrest according to a driver's physical condition. CONSTITUTION: A headrest comprises a side cover, a manual controller(33), a fine gap adjusting part(35), and an automatic controller(36). The side cover has a stationary gear and a stopper. The manual controller is extended to the inside of a main body(30) through a side cover in a push button. The manual controller moves a first bar and attaches the stopper to the stationary gear or detaches the stopper from the stationary gear. The manual controller passively rotates the main body with a rotating unit(34). The rotating unit is rotated by the first motor. The fine gap adjusting part surrounds the first bar through a side cover of a pushbutton side. The automatic controller attaches the stopper to the stationary gear or detaches the stopper from the stationary gear due to power source applied on the solenoid coil of a third bar. The automatic controller rotates the main body with the fist motor connected to the rotating unit. |
