The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wave-based automatic fee collection system and a method thereof, capable of satisfying requirements of a wave-based Korea automatic fee collection system. The present invention relates to the wave-based automatic fee collection system and the method thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, the wave-based automatic fee collection system comprises: a road-side base station including a first antenna to transmit a wave service advertisement (WSA) including channel information and a second antenna to transmit a wave short message (WSM) including a beacon service table (BST); and a vehicle terminal to firstly receive the WSA including the channel information from the road-side base station, to generate a channel for transmitting the WSM to the road-side base station and receiving the WSM from the road-side base station, to secondly receive the WSM including the BST from the road-side base station, and to transmit the WSM including a vehicle service table (VST) to the road-side base station. |
