<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a catalyst having excellent performance (high yield of an objective product) in large quantities and in high efficiency by restraining the catalyst from sticking to the inside surface of a firing pipe while keeping a particle shape though the catalyst is an oxide catalyst for producing a compound having the melting point lower than the firing temperature during a firing step. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the oxide catalyst includes: the firing step of supplying a catalyst precursor containing Mo and Sb to the firing pipe to fire the catalyst precursor at the temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of an oxide of a constituent metallic element of the oxide catalyst; and a step of making an impact on the firing pipe during the firing step. During the step of making the impact on the firing pipe, f shown by the expression: f=(the vibration acceleration)/(A+B) (wherein the vibration acceleration (m/s<SP>2</SP>) is measured when the impact is made on the firing pipe; A is Mo (mass%) in the oxide catalyst; and B is Sb (mass%) in the oxide catalyst) satisfies 0.08≤f≤50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
