<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planographic printing precursor having good recovering property of restart toning, in particular, an IR light-sensitive positive planographic printing precursor. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive planographic printing precursor has an intermediate layer between a substrate and an image recording layer.
