摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a EWT type back electrode type solar cell which does not require formation of through-holes, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The back electrode type solar cell includes a first conductive type polycrystalline semiconductor substrate, and the first conductive type polycrystalline semiconductor substrate has a surface and a backside. A surface side second conductive region is formed on the surface of the first conductive type polycrystalline semiconductor substrate, and a back side second conductive type region is formed on the backside of the first conductive type semiconductor substrate. The surface side second conductive type region and the back side second conductive type region are electrically connected each other via a grain-boundary second conductive type region formed at the grain boundary inside the first conductive type crystalline semiconductor substrate. The back electrode type solar cell also includes a first conductive type electrode formed on a region other than the back side second conductive type region on the backside of the first conductive type polycrystalline semiconductor substrate, and a second conductive type electrode formed on the back side second conductive type region on the backside of the first conductive type polycrystalline semiconductor substrate, and the method of manufacturing thereof is suggested. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
