PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device using a nonmagnetic memory cell which has a plurality of memory layers laminated for the exclusion of various interferences and the reduction in size and is adapted so as to store a plurality of data values. SOLUTION: A storage device 100 includes a controller 102 and a plurality of resistive elementary memory cells 106 accessible via the controller 102. Each of the plurality of resistive elementary memory cells 106 includes a plurality of memory layers 130, 132, 134, and 136 selected so as to have hysteretic properties to store a plurality of data values and is interposed between a first external electrode 122 and a second external electrode 124.
