PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image-forming apparatus for reducing a displacement detection error in the main scanning direction due to an effect of a displacement in the sub scanning direction, and accurately correcting a color offset. SOLUTION: The color image-forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of image forming means 1, 2; a plurality of transfer means for transferring an image formed by the plurality of the image forming apparatus on a belt 3 or a recording material held and carried by the belt; a means for forming a displacement detection pattern including a plurality of colored displacement detection marks on the belt; a detection means 6 for detecting a plurality of the colored displacement detection marks; a means for calculating a color offset value based on detection result of the plurality of colors by the detection means; and a means for correcting an image forming condition of the image forming means from the calculated color offset value.
