METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress disorder of alignment of liquid crystal molecules when a non-twist alignment type liquid crystal element is manufactured having liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal layer aligned having molecule long axes in a rubbing direction by performing rubbing treatment on alignment films formed on mutually opposite internal surfaces of a pair of substrates in parallel directions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The alignment films are formed on one-surface sides of the pair of substrates 2 and 3, and subjected to the rubbing treatment. Then a seal material 4 is screen-printed on one surface of the one substrate 3 by moving a squeeze in a direction parallel to the rubbing direction 23a of the alignment film 23 formed on the surface.
