<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming pump device improving air-water separation performance and manufacturability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pump runner storage chamber 6 formed between a pump casing body 2 and a base cover 3 communicates with a cylindrical body 2C for a suction opening through a water suction passage 7 including an elongated cylindrical body 9 extending toward the inner bottom of the base cover 3 in an air-water separating chamber 2A and a suction chamber 8 formed by sandwiching a partitioning body 14 provided with a water guiding wall portion 14A having a delivery opening 14B delivering fluid and a bag portion 14C storing a check valve 10 between the pump casing body 2 and the base cover 3. A swirl preventing body 15 preventing fluid delivered from the partitioning body 14 from swirling along the periphery of the elongated cylindrical body 9 is provided in the air-water separating chamber 2A, and a direction changing wall body 14J upwardly changing a flow direction of fluid delivered from the suction opening 14B of the partitioning body 14 is provided forward of the suction opening 14B of the partitioning body 14.
