PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier tape which prevents a wrong article from being put into a molded tape recess. SOLUTION: The carrier tape has a plurality of item storage recesses 2, a plurality of molded tape recesses 3, and a plurality of feed holes 4 along the length of the tape. The openings 31 of the molded tape recesses 3 are smaller than the openings 21 of the item storage recesses 2 so that items are not inserted therein. Additionally, the front internal wall of each molded tape recess 3 is formed into a vertical face whereas its rear internal wall is formed into an inclining face. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
