PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for exchanging a pallet of a pallet exchanger of a machine tool. SOLUTION: A pallet conveyor for carrying pallets between the machine tool 13 and a plurality of set-up tables 39 and 41 comprises: a driving means having a rack provided on pallets P<SB>1</SB>and P<SB>2</SB>along the carrying direction of the pallets P<SB>1</SB>and P<SB>2</SB>, a pinion provided on each of a table 31 of the machine tool 13 and the set-up tables 39 and 41 for engaging with the rack, and driving motors M<SB>T</SB>, M<SB>1</SB>and M<SB>2</SB>for rotating the pinion to carry the pallets P<SB>1</SB>and P<SB>2</SB>; and a control means 37 for synchronously controlling the driving motors of the driving means.
