A method for obtaining a configuration information of a network apparatus is disclosed, it includes: obtaining an information digest of a configuration message of a network apparatus; and checking the message digest to determine whether the configuration message of the network apparatus is changed; if it determines that the configuration message of the network apparatus is changed, the configuration message of the network apparatus is obtained. The embodiment of the present invention also discloses a network management apparatus and a system for obtaining the configuration information of the network apparatus. The application of the embodiment of the present invention can reduce the frequency of the network management apparatus for polling the configuration message of the network apparatus, improve the polling efficiency, and reduce the network burden.
