METHOD OF FABRICATING SILVER NANOPARTICLE DECORATED CARBON NANOTUBE NANOCOMPOSITES

PURPOSE: A method for fabricating silver nanoparticle decorated carbon nanotube nanocomposites is provided to secure high density of uniform silver nanoparticles. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating silver nanoparticle decorated carbon nanotube nanocomposites comprises: a first step of dispersing carbon nanotubes in an organic solvent to prepare a carbon nanotube dispersion(S10-S20); a second step of mixing the carbon nanotube dispersion and a silver-ion solution to allow the silver nanoparticles to be adhered to the surface of the carbon nanotubes(S30-S50); and a third step of centrifuging and cleaning the silver nanoparticles decorated carbon nanotubes(S60-S70). The carbon nanotubes are dispersed in the organic solvent with ultrasonic wave.
