<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simpler method for purification-treating a fermentation alcohol in terms of the whole of processes and in an extremely good energy efficiency in the purification treatment to obtain an anhydrous alcohol by feeding an aqueous fermentation alcohol solution to a mash column, heating the aqueous fermentation alcohol solution in the mash column to produce the mixed vapor of the alcohol and water, feeding condensate liquid obtained by condensing the mixed vapor to a distillation column, heating the condensate liquid in the distillation column to produce the mixed vapor of the alcohol and water, feeding the mixed vapor to a membrane separation device and then selectively removing water vapor from the mixed vapor of the alcohol and water to obtain the anhydrous alcohol. <P>SOLUTION: This method of purification treatment to obtain the anhydrous alcohol from the aqueous fermentation alcohol solution is characterized by reducing the pressure of the mixed vapor of the alcohol and water, produced in the distillation column and then feeding it to the membrane separation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
