<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator that reduces current consumption in an overcurrent protection circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A switch drive device 100 includes the overcurrent protection circuit (including a comparator 13) which protects an overcurrent by monitoring a current i flowing in a switching element 11, and an enable control circuit (a delay circuit 15 in an example of Fig.1) which brings the overcurrent protection circuit into an operation state when the switching element 11 is turned on, and brings the overcurrent protection circuit into a non-operation state when the switching element 11 is turned off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
