<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which has a reduced space for retracting an exposure member from a photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: A moving mechanism 51 includes: a fixed shaft 52 having an axial line thereof fixed relative to a body 2; a first arm 53 comprising one end portion thereof which is supported rotatably around the fixed shaft 52; a movable shaft 54 having an axial line thereof which is movable relative to the body 2; and a second arm 55 comprising one end portion which holds an LED head 18, and the other end portion connected to the one end portion of the first arm 53 via the movable shaft 54, and the second arm 55 being swingable around the axial line of the movable shaft 54. Thus, the space for retracting the LED head 18 from the photoreceptor drum 8 is reduced because it is enough to secure space in which the LED head 18 and the moving mechanism 51 can be housed in a state wherein the one end portion of the second arm 55 is proximate to the first arm 53 above the drum unit 6 in the body 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
