<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter suited for bonding with an inorganic EL element, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter 1 includes a transparent base material 2 and a color filter layer 3 formed on the transparent base material. The color filter layer 3 has: colored layers 4 of plural colors, arranged in the form of stripes in predetermined repeating order; and a black matrix 5 disposed between the desired colored layers. A plurality of strip areas 12 are defined on the color filter layer 3 perpendicularly to the black matrix 5. A plurality of spacer granules 6 are disposed on the black matrix 5 and/or on the strip areas 12. Bonding granules 7 covered by a photocurable resin are disposed in a plurality of predetermined portions in the outer area 11 of the color filter layer in such a manner as to surround the color filter layer. The average granule size D of the bonding granules, the thickness (t) of the color filter layer, and the average granule size (d) of the spacer granules satisfy a relationship: D≥d+t. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
