<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having a high mobility and a large current on/off ratio and exhibiting superior storage stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer which includes at least one kind of compound represented by general formula 1. In the formula, X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>14</SB>independently represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, straight chain, branched, or annular alkyl group; a straight chain, branched, or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, where a ring A represents a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring, a substituted or sn unsubstituted naphthalene ring, a substituted or an unsubstituted thiophene ring, a substituted or an unsubstituted benzo[b] thiophene ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted phenanthrene ring.
