PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color wheel device that mitigates vibration transferred from a motor to a housing. SOLUTION: The color wheel device 1 includes: a color wheel 5 by which light from a light source is spectroscoped into colored light by rotation in accordance with transmitting characteristics; a motor 4 for driving the color wheel 5; a mounting plate 2 to be fixed on an optical unit; and at least one metal plate member 3 that is arranged between the motor 4 and the mounting plate 2 and that is fixed to the mounting plate 2 together with the motor 4.
