PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of suppressing the growth deformation in the radial direction of a shoulder part, suppressing degradation of the cornering power, and realizing the excellent steering stability by suppressing the inward deformation of a side part when a vehicle travels at a high speed. SOLUTION: A bead reinforcing layer 12 is arranged between a bead filler 4 and a carcass ply 1 at a bead part 2. An end 11b of a windup part 1b of the carcass ply 1 is folded inward of an outer end 12a in the radial direction of the bead reinforcing layer 12 outward of the radial direction from the bead filler 4, and the outer end 12a of the bead reinforcing layer 12 is held by the folding end 11b.
