A method, system and apparatus for obtaining downlink channel information are disclosed in the embodiment of the present invention. The method for obtaining downlink channel information comprises: a receiving end receiving downlink signal carrying downlink pilot signal sent by a transmitting end; demodulating the received downlink signal, obtaining downlink channel elements in the downlink pilot signal, grouping the obtained downlink channel elements according to the number of receiving antennas of the receiving end, and dividing the grouped downlink channel elements into a first set of downlink channel elements and a second set of downlink channel elements; overlapping each group of downlink channel elements in the first set of downlink channel elements respectively multiplied by an orthogonal code on an uplink pilot signal, obtaining a mixed pilot signal, transmitting the mixed pilot signal to the transmitting end over the uplink pilot channel of the receiving end for the transmitting end to obtain downlink channel information. The transmitting end can obtain full downlink channel information in the embodiment of the present invention.
