The device has a transparent mold (1) positionable on a nail (10), where the mold is made of polymer substance such as plastic and comprises an inward curved mold inner surface (2). The inward curved mold inner surface has a nail extension area (3) that is molded corresponding to a surface of an extended nail. The nail extension area is molded such that a nail extension material is detachably applied on the nail extension area, where the nail extension material is a material based on acryl or UV gel. The mold inner surface is molded by a non-adhesive material in the nail extension area. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a nail extension set comprising two molds (2) a method for artificial extension of nail.
