<p>PURPOSE: A paging method is provided to effectively transmit a paging message to a terminal which is in an idle mode state, thereby performing efficient communication. CONSTITUTION: A serving base station transmits an MOB DREG-CMD message to a mobile terminal(S403). The MOB DREG-CMD message can include a paging cycle, a paging offset and a paging listen interval. The mobile terminal enters an idle mode(S404). When a call or a packet enters the mobile terminal, a paging controller compares a serving base station identifier of the mobile terminal with a serving base station identifier of the paging controller(S405,S406). If the identifiers are the same, the paging controller transmits a paging message to the serving base station(S407a).</p> |
