<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a display method, conducting the control according to light applied to a screen by an instructing device irradiating light. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving part shape determination unit 21 determines the shape of light applied to the screen by the light emission instructing device 30. A central processing unit 15 transmits an enlargement command if the shape determined by the light receiving part shape determination unit 21 is a circle, a lateral scroll command if it is a lateral line shape, and a vertical scroll command if it is a vertical line shape, to an image generating device 50 by a serial communication processing unit 22. An image generating device central processing unit 53 transmits an image signal of image information enlarged by an enlargement processing unit 57 when a command received from a display device 10 is an enlargement command, and an image signal of image information scrolled by the scroll processing unit 56 when the received command is lateral scroll or vertical scroll, to the display device 10 by an image signal generating part 52 to thereby display an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
