<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-area light condensing sheet usable for a liquid crystal television etc., and to provide a light condensing sheet which has a smooth surface and is laminated on another member. <P>SOLUTION: The light condensing sheet 10 has negative birefringent layers 13 and 15 and reflection type linear polarizing layers 12 and 14 laminated alternately each by two or three layers. The light condensing sheet having this constitution projects only transmitted polarized light which is made incident perpendicularly onto the light condensing sheet and has an electric field vector vibration plane parallel to respective axes of transmission, of incident light from a back light 11, so that it has excellent light condensing performance.
