<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody which recognizes specifically the binding region of glycoproteins. <P>SOLUTION: The immunogen is produced by digesting glycoproteins with protease without performing alkaline hydrolysis. An animal is immunized by the above immunogen, and an antibody-producing cell is collected from the animal. A monoclonal antibody is extracted from the antibody-producing cell or its hybridoma. The obtained antibody is applicable to various uses such as a recognition reagent for the binding region of glycoproteins, a recognition probe of tumor markers or a sugar-chain recognition probe, and has tremendous industrial availableness in various fields such as basic medical science, applied medical science or drug discovery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
