<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide integrated dual laser module for homodyne transceiver useful for terahertz spectroscopy. <P>SOLUTION: This terahertz frequency domain spectrometer includes the integrated dual laser module generating CW signal for analyzing, identifying and imaging target object connected with photoconductive switch pair to be within frequency range over 100 GHz-2 THz, where the CW signal is focused to the target object and transmits the target object or is reflected from the target object. It also has a sensor which acquires spectral information from the signal received from the target object to generate electric signal indicating several features of the target object with resolution of 250 MHz or less through multispectral homodyne process. The photoconductive switch is activated by laser beam from the dual laser module. Lasers in module are adjusted to different frequency, each of them has two different low-frequency identification tones used together with an optical filter stabilized so as to correctly determine offset frequency of the lasers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
