PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "driving support device and its display method" for urging a driver to pay attention by letting the driver know the location, shape and model of a vehicle existing in the periphery of a self-vehicle. SOLUTION: This driving support device is provided with: a reception part for acquiring the information of the other vehicle by communication; a display part for enlargement-displaying a road in the periphery of the self-vehicle, and for displaying the self-vehicle and the other vehicle with an icon at the vehicle location of a road; a vehicle class icon storage part for storing a vehicle class icon corresponding to the class of the vehicle; and a control part for acquiring the information of the other vehicle, and for searching the class of the vehicle from the acquired information, and for searching a vehicle class icon corresponding to the vehicle class from the vehicle class icon storage part, and for displaying the icon at the vehicle location on the road.
