PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping material for a roof and a roof structure capable of easily exhibiting a rain sound reduction effect even if the temperature of a metal roof material is changed according to an environmental temperature. SOLUTION: This damping material 12 for a roof is placed on a metal roof material 11. The damping material 12 comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material which contains chlorinated polyethylene thermoplastic elastomer.
