PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color washout. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel includes a plurality of pixels äP<SB>n, m</SB>}, arranged in a matrix, (where n=1, 2, ..., N; m=1, 2, ..., M; and N and M are integers greater than 0). Each pixel P<SB>n, m</SB>includes at least one first sub-pixel P<SB>n, m</SB>(1) and a second sub-pixel P<SB>n, m</SB>(2), which respectively includes sub-pixel electrodes. In an image, a gray level value g displayed on a pixel is related to a gray level voltage. When the gray level voltage is applied to the pixel P<SB>n, m</SB>, the plurality of pixels äP<SB>n, m</SB>} are arranged to produce an electric potential differenceΔV<SB>12</SB>(g) at the sub-pixel electrodes of the first sub-pixel and second sub-pixel in the pixel P<SB>n, m</SB>. The electric potential differenceΔV<SB>12</SB>(g) changes along with the gray level values g of the image displayed on the pixel, wherein: g=0, 1, 2, ..., R; and g corresponds to the gray level of the image represented by h-bit (where h is an integer greater than 0; and R=(2<SP>h</SP>-1)).
