<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save manpower for a process for bringing the cross-sectional shape of an annular member made of metal which is deformed to an approximately elliptic shape close to a complete roundness and to suppress damage to the annular member in a shape correcting process. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for correcting the shape includes: a first roller 11 which is arranged so as to be abutted on the outer circumferential surface of the annular member 50; a first motor M1 for rotating the first roller 11 in a prescribed direction; a second roller 12 which is arranged in such a way that the second roller 12 abuts on the outer circumferential surface of the annular member 50 and that the second roller 12 and the first roller 11 together hold the annular member 50 therebetweem; a second motor M2 for rotating the second roller 12 in the same direction as that of the first roller 11; and a hydraulic cylinder 20 for approaching and separating the first roller 11 and the second roller 12 each other. The rotating shaft 11a of the first roller 11 and the rotating shaft 12a of the second roller 12 are inclined so that the annular member 50 is lifted from a conveyer belt 101 while being rotated in a direction opposite to those of the first and second rollers 11, 12.
