A system and a method for providing a service using a ring-back tone set a ring-back tone of a service subscriber as a commercial ringtone (that is, a ring-back tone including an advertisement) through a contract between the service subscriber and a ring-back tone supplier, and reduces communications fares of the service subscriber by providing a certain amount of money for the time and the number of playing commercial ringtone by the ring-back tone supplier or paying the communications fares by proxy.
