<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for selecting a structural material, which selects easily the most inexpensive structural material having required strength. <P>SOLUTION: This selection device for the structural material is provided with: a required strength determining means 12 for determining whether the strength based on an input Young's modulus and cross-sectional dimension of the structural material satisfies the required strength; an allowable structural material selecting means 14 for setting an available allowable range in the periphery of an input data corresponding point in a correlation table data between the input Young's modulus and cross-sectional dimension of the structural material, and for selecting the structural material within the allowable range; a lower limit area selecting means 16 for selecting the structural material having corresponding data located in a lower limit area in the structural material within the allowable range; a material selecting means 18 for selecting the structural material having the corresponding data located in the lower limit area according to a material; and a lowest price determining means 20 for determining the most inexpensive structural material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
