<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient kana/kanji conversion only for a part gazed by a user in character conversion. <P>SOLUTION: A display area division part 35 is a function part for dividing clauses and sentences for sentences displayed on a display part 20.The result of division is transferred to a line-of-sight input tabulation part 40. The line-of-sight input tabulation part 40 is a function part for sampling line-of-sight input for each divided area corresponding to the line-of-sight information of the user input from a line-of-sight input part 15 through a processing part 25 and the divided result of an image prepared by the display area division part 35 and performing tabulation. A Kana/Kanji conversion part 45 is a function part for performing Kana/Kanji conversion in minimum units of the division area estimated to be gazed by the user on the basis of the key input information of the user input from a key input part 10 through the processing part 25 and a tabulation result prepared by the line-of-sight input tabulation part 40.
