<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a vehicle having both a function for lighting feet of an occupant when getting in/out, and a function as a rear display function, enabled to reduce a space for installation by miniaturizing, and can contribute to the improvement of the degree of freedom in the design of a vehicle door. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system for the vehicle is provided at a lower edge of a vehicle door so as to light in a state that the vehicle door is opened. This lighting system for the vehicle includes: a LED lamp mounted on a substrate so that a light emitting side is arranged on a lower edge side of the vehicle door; a light entrance surface positioned on a light emitting side of the LED lamp, facing the LED lamp; a first light emitting portion positioned in a lower surface of the vehicle door; a second light emitting portion positioned in a cabin inside surface or a cabin side end surface of the vehicle door; a reflecting portion for receiving one part of light which has entered through the light entrance surface, and is reflected to the second light emitting portion; and a light guide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
