<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure a system such that information equipment using radio to prevent a failure in USB connection is provided for a portable authentication device and specified equipment in an identical-type information equipment group can be used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A device used to authenticate a PC etc., is enabled to communicate with the PC by radio, and authentication is carried out through radio transmission and reception.
