<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating structure having high thermal conductivity, low contact thermal resistance, and improved heat radiation performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat-radiating structure comprises a substrate having carbon as a main constituent; and a layer, having aluminum carbide whiskers or alumina whiskers formed at one portion of at least one surface of the substrate or on the entire surface as the main constituent. In particular, the substrate is, preferably, a graphite sheet. Also, the aluminum carbide whiskers or alumina whiskers are grown directly from the substrate surface.
