<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling performance of an engine by using a radiation air heating section in an air conditioner as a cooler for engine cooling water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner of a construction machine equipped with an air condition unit which includes an evaporator 204 forming a cooling device, the air heating section 301 arranged downstream of the evaporator 205, forming a heating device and operated by the engine cooling water, and first and second dampers 404, 405 respectively provided upstream and downstream of the air heating section 301, a blower 503 for radiation and a control means controlling the first to fourth dampers 404, 405, 505, 507 and the hot water valve 304 are provided so that during cooling by the air condition unit, the engine cooling water is supplied to the air heating section 301 and air taken in from a fresh air introduction pipe 501 is passed through the air heating section 301 and is then discharged from a fresh air exhaust pipe 502.
