<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector comprising a flat cable fixing structure capable of reducing a stress on a soldering part. <P>SOLUTION: A clamp 2 of a connector 10 connected to flat cables 5 and 5 includes a pair of cable holding parts 3, and holds and secures the plurality of flat cables 5 and 5 in such state as they are stacked in the thickness direction. The plurality of flat cables 5 and 5 comprise a tightly fitting part for tightly fitting the cables together. The tightly fitting part is formed in the length direction of the cable orthogonal to the thickness direction of the cable, within such range as larger than the dimension of the cable in the length direction of the cable holding part 3 as well as in the range of a predetermined width, in the width direction of the cable orthogonal to the length direction of the cable.
