<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a glass press-molding machine, that the upper and lower blocks in a plurality of zones of a heating stage require temperature control for securing the quality of a formed article, resulting in cost increase, and further, that a forming block vibrates when it climbs over level difference in the height direction between the discontinuously arranged lower blocks upon its carrying, so as to cause the dislocation of a glass material, and the appearance of the formed article is not made stable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lower block of a plurality of zones in a heating stage is provided by one, and the arranging distance and capacity of the plurality of heaters buried in the lower block are changed, thus a temperature gradient required for the plurality of zones is fitted only by the temperature control of one zone, further, there is no need of climbing over level difference upon the carrying of a forming block, thus the dislocation of a glass material is prevented, and the quality of a formed article is secured as well as cost reduction.
