<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ventilation facility of a building capable of discharging harmful gas even when the harmful gas such as smoke occurs during occurrence of a fire indoors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Central ventilation facilities 30, 50 are installed in a first floor portion and a second floor portion of a building 10, respectively. In the central ventilation facilities 30, 50, air supply is performed by rotation of air supply fans 35, 55 via air supply ports 43, 63. Further, by rotation of air return fans 37, 57, returning of air is performed via return air ports 44, 64. Thereafter, the returned air is discharged outdoors. When an abnormal condition such as the occurrence of harmful gas in any of habitable rooms, the air supply fans 35, 55, and the air return fans 37, 57 reversely rotate, and air return via the air supply ports 43, 63, and air supply via air return ports 44, 64 are performed.
