FLAT PANEL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A flat panel display device is provided to arrange shock absorbing gel between a display panel and a protection window, thereby slimming the display device. CONSTITUTION: A flat panel display device displays an image. A protection window(65) protects the flat display panel. Shock absorbing gel(80) bonds the flat display panel with the protection window. The refractive index of the shock absorbing gel is the same as one of the refractive index of the protection window or the refractive index of a board contacting the shock absorbing gel of the flat display panel. In other words, the refractive index of the shock absorbing gel has a value between the refractive index of the protection window and the refractive index of the board. The thickness of the shock absorbing gel is 1 micrometer to 5 millimeter. The shock absorbing gel absorbs external shock.
