<p>A capsule type medical device in which the lens frame of an optical unit for forming the image in a subject on the light receiving surface of an imaging section can be inserted into the opening of an illumination substrate mounting a section for illuminating the interior of the subject. The capsule type medical device comprises optical units (4, 7) for forming the image in a subject, respectively, on the light receiving surface of solid state image sensors (5, 8), and illumination substrates (19a, 19f) having openings for inserting the lens frames (4d, 7d) of the optical units (4, 7), respectively. External shape of the lens frame (4d, 7d) has a tapered upper end which is inserted into each opening of the illumination substrate (19a, 19f).</p> |
