<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator wherein increase in size is suppressed and degradation in performance is not caused when used in a rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: The stator 3 of the rotary electric machine 1 includes a stator core 30 and a stator winding 4. The stator winding 4 has a slot placement portion 43 and a turn portion 44.
