PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely predict and evaluate breaking in a laser welding portion of a product or an end product when a product with laser welding applied thereto or the crash performance of an end product is predicted and evaluated.

SOLUTION: Breaking critical strength is estimated as material-specific breaking critical shear stressτcrand material-specific breaking critical stressσcr11; thereafter it is determined that welded metals on superposed surfaces are shear-broken when shear stressτdetermined by simulation reaches the breaking critical shear stressτcr; and it is determined that they are broken by necking of materials when tensile stressσ11reaches the breaking critical stressσcr11.
