<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiration detector for detecting an appropriate respiratory state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An ECU (electronic control unit) 3 of the respiration detector 1 is provided with a biological information processing part 31 for detecting information about a respiration state of a living body, a noise determination part 32, and a noise elimination part 33. The noise determination part 32 determines whether information about one cycle of the current respiration is noise on the basis of a change amount of amplitude and a change amount of time gap for one cycle of the current respiration with respect to one cycle of respiration immediately before. The noise elimination part 33 eliminates information about one cycle of the current respiration when it is determined by the noise determination part 32 that the information about one cycle of the current respiration is noise.
