摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece measuring device, collision avoidance device, and machine tool can obtain easily three-dimensional data of workpiece configuration used to avoid collision caused by a workpiece and part of machine tools. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The workpiece measuring device includes a measuring section 15 attached at a principal shaft tools to process the workpiece as a subject for manufacturing so as to contactlessly scan and measure the range of the workpiece and a configuration recognition section 23 where a three-dimensional mesh structure formed by dividing a space into polyhedron-like is created, a measuring point coordinate of the workpiece is computed based on range information on the workpiece measured, and when the ratio of the frequency of the computed measuring points is contained in one unit to frequency scanning the positions of workpiece corresponding to one unit of three-dimensional mesh structure is more than a predetermined threshold, and a measured configuration map is created by assuming one unit to be the configuration of the workpiece.
