PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex magnesium hydroxide particle which is an antacid and a laxative having an excellent effect of protecting the inner wall of a digestive organ and an effect of inhibiting the cause of an ulcer and furthermore is useful as a zinc supplement as well since a magnesium hydroxide particle is excellent as an antiacid and a laxative but is insufficient from the viewpoint of protecting the stomach wall because the normal stomach is apt to too much rise in the pH within the stomach for the stomach wall to be attacked to easily come to an ulcer, and furthermore is not sufficient also in the point of protecting the inner wall mucous membranes of the esophagus, the stomach, the duodenum, the small intestine, the large intestine and the like. SOLUTION: The complex magnesium hydroxide particle of formula (1): (Mg2+)1-x(Zn2+)x(OH)2(wherein x is 0.0001-0.3) is produced by adding traces amount of Zn to a magnesium hydroxide particle. Ž
